He describes their treatment, the lack of care, the disregard for them as people. And the anthro's escape to a better life.

Humans have long since left their bodies behind and now survive as Brain Chips that can plug into any body they choose, sometimes looking like a human, sometimes like an angel or an alien, or sometimes as a human with animal features like wings, muzzles, and tails. And sometimes they end up wearing the faces of others.
When Aoe is born, zhey are given a body that zheir parents chose for its simplicity and age, but barely three years after zheir creation the authorities are a little too interested in zhem. Watched, followed, and questioned constantly, zhey have no knowledge of why, and the mystery becomes even more pressing when random people, one almost every month, suddenly keep asking about zheir body and if zhey would give it up but never explain why.
So Aoe must do the one thing that is considered taboo for one so young, but who can help zhem change zheir body against the law that isn't the authorities or the strangers that seem too interested in zhem.
